The Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering at MIET is the first and only NBA accredited CSE department in the State of J&K, which speaks volumes of the high-quality instruction and training imparted to its students. The department is actively engaged in R&D activities, having published over 35 research papers, with 20 international publications in reputed journals and conferences. Papers have been published in IEEE Press, InderScience, Springer-Verlag and Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science, besides reputed international conferences in India, USA and Europe. The department actively undertakes research in distributed systems, peer-to-peer networks/computation, grid computing and software engineering. Even undergraduate students are engaged in working on research projects sponsored by Hewlett-Packard, Bangalore. Department faculty has two patents pending at the US Patents and Trademarks Office (USPTO), besides having a defensive publication to their name. |
